I dont know about you guys but I have always been one of those people who will have the tiniest idea of a concept that will work for me and leap into it, growing my wings on the way down. It's how I ended up moving to Dunedin on a whim in 2004 and look how that has turned out! I love it here. It's also how I ended up with this business that I put so much efffort into day in and day out. I am fortunate to have had quite an amazing life, having had the opportunity to work in and on my business, and help so many people get amazing pictures of themselves and boost their confidence in the process.
Anyway enough blathering, what has this jumping in got to do with anything? Well, yesterday I announced that I would be doing mini-sessions in Christchurch at the botanic gardens in February. Yet another example of my having jumped in only to grow my wings on the way down!
It got me to thinking, being that the shoots are taking place on valentines day I bet there are a few people out there looking for something special they can do with their partner. I guarantee there is atleast one amazing guy or girl out there considering proposing. All of this takes a huge amount of guts. I don't care what anyone says, no matter how often you tell someone you love them and that you want to spend the rest of your life with them It is one of those times when you can be incredibly nervous. It isn't just the idea off putting it out there either, its everything, it literally is your whole life! Way to make y'all nervous I know! Sorry #notsorry
But heres the thing, if we wait, we might miss the chance, if we don't do it now, we might never do it, if we don't make the time "life" might get in the way. I don't know about you all, but I am absolutely tired of life getting in the way, trust me you're not the only ones! Life got in the way when I wanted to go to university, life got in the way when I wanted to travel overseas and life got in the way when i bought a house (that one time...). But there is no reason to be upset by that and every reason to seize the moment from now on!
Anyway, It got me thinking about how I usually completely forget about Valentines day as in my family it is overshadowed by my second brothers birthday. I realised that while some people can be totally sappy about it and that generally it is more of a commercialisation for the selling of expensive flowers and chocolates that there is some merit to celebrating love. It's somethig that can easily get overlooked these days as we all settle into patterns of behaviour and get comfortable with our partners, so this year I am running a mini-session day specifically for couples.
It doen't matter if you have been together one year or 60 years, I want to help you capture some memories to pass on to your loved ones and add to your legacy. So with that out of the way I thought I would make it as easy as possible for you to do so! Send me a message below for your complimentary session and only buy the images you love!
